this is the place for 2015 [and beyond] predictions of all kinds, both personal as well as public. I predict that radio shack [as we know it] will bite the dust later this year. :( I will miss it.

A major hurricane (or more) is going to hit the US, ending the 10 year drought since Wilma.

heh, i wouldn't be surprised. i never go in there, but just from looking at the nearest store downtown it seems to be on its last legs. closed/ing nearly 20% of it's outlets.

i will also miss it. also cannot wait to see what stores close/pop up on the other main street one block over, that strip always has many stores wanting to set up venue there, and since there's little space the results are darwinian and pretty fun to observe. i've seen back in 2014, they revamped an abandoned blockbuster to put a wells' fargo in its place, closed a tire place to put a (spanish revival themed) 7-Eleven, and revamped a scolari's to place a 'the fresh market' there, a competitor for 'fresh and easy' two blocks over (and a petsmart too right next to it.)

let's see.

That's kinda medium-size actually. Not a small town but not a big city either.

I predict that a commonly-used substance or practice will be correlated with the apparent rise in Autism cases, although no hard evidence for a direct causal connection will ever be presented.

I predict that a dangerous procedure or substance will be touted as a definitive cure for Autism, although no hard evidence for anyone ever being cured will ever be presented.

I predict that both of these claims will be made first in the popular press, and not in any scientific peer-review journal.
