immortal owns all those bands you just named son, true f-ing metal, and still going. how many of those bands are even bands today? with the exeption of megadeth? btw there stuff sucked after euthenasia, that would be somewhere in the 90s, this is 2007. soo they havent been good for ahwile.

oh bullcrap. yeah mainstream metal, not immortal. immortal is blackmetal and has been around for a long ass time. immortal doesnt lookup, draw from, or get any of their musical genuis from those bands, or for matter of fact american bands.

I doubt that.

Judas Priest birthed every sub-genre of heavy metal except drone, symphonic and folk.

Black "Metal" became distinct sub-genre under the tuleage of Venom and Judas Priest.

metal went to hell after about the time of priest. first the hair bands, and then a bunch of crappy guys who can't sing or play.
