my cat is bringing mice, lizards, live sparrows, frogs etc into the house

we are tired of killing these mice every other day.

sometimes she brings in live sparrows which keep flying inside the house

can someone suggest some solution to this problem???

Keep the cat outside.

Invest in a collar with bell. Prey will hear the cat coming so cat won't be able to catch it anymore.

Just make sure the collar is designed especially for cats - they have save point that stretch or release if the collar gets stuck on something so the cat will be able to escape instead of hanging itself on it.

Other option is keeping the door closed and checking if the cat has no prey before letting it in. That's what we do. We find preys (dead already) on our balcony or in garden but they get into house only if one of us doesn't pay attention while letting the cat in.

Btw, the cat must really love you if she is bringing so many preys. That's the way how cats show affection. Unless she is raising kittens - then she is bringing the preys for them to teach them how to kill it. It might be the case for humans as well though. You cat thinks you can't hunt so she brings you living animals for you to practice. :D My cat knows we are good hunters (I enjoy hunting spiders with my cat and I even successfully hunted a non injured mouse in front of the cat once, and I hunted the cat as well, multiple times - in play 8) ) so we are getting only dead preys. Our share of food - in cats opinion.

yes you are right i read about this how cat brings things like mouse to show their love for owner

we cant keep check on the backyard etc because we live in a colony where there are many flats
its a building not a house

i will try hunting with her and trying to kills artificial mouse, spiders etc
so she will think that we already got food etc and she need not bring anything more for us

thanks

Also play with her a lot. If she catch and "kill" the toy in front of you she will be less prone to hunt for animals.
