I find wherever I go, I tend to at some point end up browsing to the beginnings of a forum to see what/who has changed and how...it can be quite enlightening, lol...does anyone else check back through the pages? I found some funny things on pages 53, 52, 51 of random. I just like to compare, and believe me, some of the topics back then were WAY more random than any currently on the first few pages.

I started to , to learn the history - then I necroed something without thinking. Now I avoid it.

I did the same thing because I wanted to find my old posts.

Someone should bump the good ones.

I've changed a lot since I joined. And I'm still changing.

If I did, I'd start missing those ASpies who no longer post ...

Some of the topics are classics, I must admit, I was tempted to resurrect a few threads, but might embarrass a few people.

I think a lot of the past threads are way better than the present threads. The topics were more interesting and the trolls were more nefarious and creative than the boring ones that lack any sense of creativity.

Sorry - necroed, as in revived the thread from death - posted in it for no good reason, when it was deeply buried. Anyhow, I got yelled at (rightly) for it.

yes, i do that as well. it all seems so innocent and stuff...i've found some interesting things on there. like members with 2000 something posts who aren't on wrong planet anymore.

I do that as well. Sometimes I even look up the early posts of some members to see how they change over time. I looked up Atomika's early posts the other day. I wonder how he morphed into what he became, but I didn't have time to read it all.

I like to look at the old posts I made, as it's fun.

I used to be scared of answering questions when people asked me a question in a thread.
I laugh now, but I used to get a chill up my back when anyone answered one of my topics.
Some of my early topics end abruptly because I was too afraid to actually continue anything remotely like a conversation.

Yes, I find myself wondering what they are doing now, why they left...it is as if you come on a forum, and then leave unnoticed, leaving behind only ghostly remnants of your presence here... I doubt many of them were even remembered once they disappeared. Then you get to wondering why you bother if no-one would notice your absence...
