I've already quit smoking a couple of weeks ago. On the day, I posted on my Facebook wall that I was quitting. I got 2 replies.

A friend of mine posted just yesterday that she's quitting smoking and she's got upwards of 80 replies.

I feel angry. I feel as though no one likes me and no one cares about me and that no one respects me. I wish I had tons of friends. Aspergers - yeah, a real gift alright.

Sorry to hear that you got so few responses. I am a smoker (tried to quit and failed many times) and appreciate how hard it is to quit. Made it a few years once before my dumb self got back on the smoking bandwagon. Doh. But yeah, goood on you for doing this. Woo and hoo to ya.

Some encouragement from your online people would have been nice. Hope you do not let the snubtastic-non-responders (totally a word) bring you down. What you are doing for you is great. To hell with 'em if they don't see that.

Good luck with giving up smoking, Grue. I don't have much to add but I just wanted to send luck wishes.

I wish you the best of wishes in your effort. I know you can do this, because you're a strong person who has a lot of willpower. :)

I know how you feel. Although I have always believed the quality of friends is much more important than quantity, it would be nice to get more than one or two likes if any for my posts. But then again that could be partly because I've unfollowed most of my "friends" posts because I was sick of all the garbage that kept showing up that I had no interest in whatsoever - posting religious propaganda or things that were scary, gross, or untrue. And telling me to hit like if I agreed, and insulting me if I didn't.

P.S. congrats on your quitting smoking. :)

You have done well, congratulations and wishing you no new damage. Possibly a lot of your friend list are smokers? They may not feel like celebrating your victory as it is a negative comparison for them?

I wish you the power to overcome this, the steadfastness to stick with this, hope to help you through the hard times, and a shoulder to cry on if need be.
