In the UK the choice is rubbish from the supermarket or the real thing for 4.50 ($7-8). Im interested to know if anyone has tried the better quality ones and what they think compared to the commercial crap?

Its an acquired taste. You need to drinnk a few cups before you begin to appreciate it. I presume you mean green tea in general?

With my smoking, I can barely taste it. I'd have to have it first thing in the morning.

The particular anti-oxidants in green tea are very beneficial to tobacco smokers. Curiously tobacco smokers were found to consume higher amounts of green tea.

I love green tea ,herbal tea's and yerba mate. My biggest green tea addiction is dr stuart's brand chai (although the twinings one is also good) and some of the green tea and fruit mixes you can get from specialist tea vendors online.

Yerba mate is a good substitue for coffee and full of minerals! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yerba_mate

Better quality green tea is a trip to Paradise. Try some
Japanese Gyokuro Green Tea. They are to die for! Enjoy! :D
