were the police justified in locking up the father?
read in the news a while ago, around here. a baby was taken to a hospital, and the doctors told police maybe she was shaken, but also maybe it's a medical problem.
police locked up the father with no previous record for two or three days, (dont remember now). and then finally found the baby was NOT shaken and does have a medical problem.
cops said they locked up the man to protect the baby and the couple's other toddler, but they could've just give the father a restraining order and given the woman and baby police protection instead. they could've put cops outside the hospital's door where the baby was treated and another one outside the couple's building. seems easier to just lock up an innocent person up instead.
