How are you doing? Can you survive?

I seem to be surviving despite the fact that my savings account has only $1.26 in it and that's got to last me the fortnight. Good thing I don't need to eat!

I moved out at 25, and I seem to remain breathing.

I am surviving. Just. As a very naïf, street-stupid, people-stupid and gullible person, I find it very difficult to live alone. But I have no choice. I have made seriously bad big decisions that are still affecting the quality of my life. In this eat-or-be-eaten world, I am one of the eaten ones.

Hard to say, I think I'm ok.
It's been 15 years now and the first few years were rough.

I've lived on my own since 1980. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Absolutely do-able. Easy to survive once you learn enough Legalese to keep extortionist tax-collectors from being too much of a nuissance so that you can save your money for yourself rather than paying it into the thieves in government. Also helps if you know how to cook & are in an area where you can barter services via Craig's-List.

Well, I have no problem, whatsoever, with living alone----my problem is keeping the lights, turned-on; but, I continue to submit résumés / go-on interviews----it'll happen, one day.....

My other problem, is that my house looks like a cyclone hit it----I HATE it----but, obviously, I don't hate it, badly enough, to do anything about it! I get overwhelmed just trying to figure-out how to go about cleaning it up, and give-up.

I hated living with my parents.

I moved out in 1981.

Never looked back.

I seem to be rather good at surviving because I've been living in my own apartment for maybe a decade and a half now. Of course it's mainly because of my parents that I can afford to make ends meet, not having having a job and living in a place where nearly everyone I grew up with had to leave to get a job, which makes me feel guilty and wonder what I'll do when they're no longer around. My mother told not to feel guilty or worry about it but I still do.

Oh, me neither! I L O V E living on my own but I was referring to how we can manage our lives on our own, financially, etc!

As Marilyn Monroe once said, "I restore myself when I'm alone!"

I lived on my own, at my Mum's house for over 8 months and it was the most wonderful time I've ever had in my life!

Countless hours can be spent on Special Interests! I get lost in my Special Interest for hours and hours now. No one to disturb me!

I couldn't agree more! I live about 300 yards from my parents ( have two adjacent lots in a mountain valley ), so I can do my own thing when I want to or I can go next door and socialize. Best of both worlds. :)

I am surviving and got something that barely can be defined as "having a life".
