Stand up comedy is great... I like all kinds of comedians. Can't get enough... unless it's too vulgar... but I have been known to lower my standards for comedians with funny insight.

Post some videos of some stand up comedy... do it!

I've been thinking that if I get over social phobia...I would actually want to try stand up comedy.

I make humorous observations about everything... all day long. It's just a matter of writing this stuff down... working out the ideas to be expressed in the funniest possible format... and then memorizing what I wrote.

I think I could use my social awkwardness to elicit laughter too. I mean if Emo Philips can get people to laugh...

And if that didn't work... well I could always just fall down... physical comedy always works wonders. As the late Chris Farley said, "everybody laughs when fatty falls down."

Of course there isn't really anywhere to try this sort of thing out... maybe I can just do it in front of my computer and be an internet sensation.

Ah, Emo Philips. A few years ago I was watching an Emo Philips show on tape and laughing my ass off. The girlfriend I had at the time just sat there with a confused look on her face, she just did not get it at all.

Anyone know what he's doing now?

Yeah, if you can get past, or appreciate the way he talks... his jokes are very clever.

This is a recent interview, it's interesting to see how he normally acts and how it's exaggerated for a show.

Youtube links won't work for me for some reason, so here are the URLs.

Bill Bailey, who i'm going to see live in Cardiff in November. Can't wait. :D

Paul Merton. Couldn't find any of his live stuff, so here is one of his appearences on UK panel show 'Have I Got News For You' (he's the one on the right in the brown suit).

Harry Hill. Again, I struggled to find any of his live stuff, but I did find this. :D If you want a real taste of his humour then have a look at the related videos down the side of the screen for his TV show. :D

Okay, how do you get GNU's number one free software advocate, Richard Stallman, to give a talk at your college, university or social event ? Offer him a couple of free lunches and a feast! :D
