I just can't decide what to do on our trip. I don't want to spend $100's just for some casino. (Atlantic Casino). Or $100's for dolphins or beaches. On the ship itself outside of eat/drink (I do drink on occasion). I can't think of anything to do. Also the dinner with your family (my case 5 people including myself) and a set of strangers shoots my anxiety up. I don't like those kinds of tables.

How should I deal with dinners?

If anyone has been on a cruise or the bahamas any tips? I hear the crowds = Disney World PACKED! We are going soon Mid Sept. so I'm hopeing it won't be as psycho crazy. :-(

We did a cruise from Miami. It was 7 days and went to Haiti, Cancun and Jamaica and somewhere else. I didn't like it as I spent money in the casino, ate and drank too much. There were too many people and luckily they all seemed to go to the pools all afternoon leaving the stores and cafes in the middle of the ship empty. Jamaica was horrible and we had to hire someone to stop being pestered by the locals.
My wife and I spent years in the Bahamas on a sailboat. The only way to do it. Absolutely fantastic. I guess you will be going to Nassau? Paradise Island is easily accessible and pleasant. Lots to see. Careful of the crime in Nassau. I thought it was weird when I was in Subway by the cruise ships and a lot of fat people came off and headed straight for Subway.

Yes Nassau. :-) I also hear people hound you to buy buy buy stuff. I hope the crowds aren't "theme park summer time" busy. From different reviews it seems that way but a mid September trip I hope isn't too bad. Glad most people go to the pools and leaves some less crowded ship areas. I DREAD the dinners with strangers. :-( I hope that goes well.

Obviously our first evening meal went badly as the strangers asked to be moved. The next lot were a bunch of crazy older women who were holidaying without husbands. Their table asked for them to be moved. They were great to be with and they shared our table for the remainder of the trip.
For some reason, the table wine tasted absolutely great on the ship and when we bought some of the same later, it wasn't the same.
The strawmarket is worth seeing but hang on to your wallet.
Definitely see the aquarium in Atlantis - you can walk if you are fit. Look out for the timeshares salespeople.

If you're going mid-September, there shouldn't be too many attendees. The summer will be over/nearly over for many.

But I've never gone on a cruise, so I wouldn't know.

Interesting that you are going in the middle of hurricane season. If you get by a hurricane there you have nowhere to hide.
It is fortunately for you an el nino year so it should be quite quiet.
