Do you think that technology that allows someone to be temporarily an empath will exist within our lifetime
When I say that I mean a device so that their sensory information is going to your brain as well as their's, so you feel, hear, see, smell, and taste everything they are.
This could be useful for doctors to help diagnose patients who aren't good at describing how they feel.
It could also be used by couples to gain intimacy.
It could also be used to let a deaf person could hear music, or a blind person to see for a while.
Another use for this technology is for autistic's that have hyperacusis (sensitive hearing) So you have someone else who's in the room (an aide perhaps) who's auditory information is going to the autistic. Should the noise be too loud, the autistic could use a remote to turn down the volume of the information they're receiving.

So do you think this kind of technology could or should exist? And would you use it

I can't understand why anyone would want to feel what another person is feeling.

It might be different if it's a voluntary thing.

I have no clue about technology. I am not a technological person.

Yes it is voluntary, person A would hook up the device to person B, when turned on person A would be feeling (sense of touch, not emotions) what person B is.
