My little sisters 13 & 15 dad all GB upon GB of photo's & videos taking up there 16GB iPhones! the 15 yr. old LOVES Selfies and videos of all her friends. IMO it seems crazy! I backed up my photos online and I have 10GB OVER 5 YEARS! 2010-2015! About 10GB

Mom insists 16GB phones are enough with a 1TB cloud drive but DO THE MATH! You are backing up 4 phones mom/dad/2 kids 16 x 4=64GB So 1000/64GB you can only back up the four phones about 15 times so that's 4 times and I KNOW how flash drives work 16GB phone is about 12 GB etc. so "1000" 1TB is more 900 something GB really. UGH!

My photos consist of vacations to which we don't take many. Photos of my nephew who's now 8 so him at around 3 SO CUTE! and the 15yr. old sneaking my phone to do 1,000 selfies on MY PHONE! (I only put a couple of photos of her on my actual phone.) On it I have less than a GB of photos I want to keep so IF the computer crashed no biggie. :-)

Just wow this selfie/photos/videos 24/7 generation I DON'T GET IT!

I don't care as long as they don't want me to look at their photos.
I take sefies to see how I change over time. It's quite interesting.

I could say the same with my sister and my mom. Both their cellphones are full of photos. They upload them in FB for almost every 1-5 days! Seriously... Only upside I have with this is I would know what they've been doing.
I don't mind them doing all of that, as long as I'm not included into it or forced me to view them.

Only times I took a picture of myself is... None.

Mandatory pictures aside, I won't let anyone take a picture of me. Ever. Unless I seriously have to like few moments of someone's wish.
And I'll NEVER put my real face in the internet. I don't care what others assume what I look like.

Yup, that's basically my mentality and the exact same reason I might take the occasional picture of myself.

Ditto. I've never taken a selfie except for a very specific reason. I'm at a loss to understand the attraction. I don't particularly enjoy looking at my mug or imposing it on others.

I hate having my picture taken & I don't really look at pictures either. I'm NOT a visual person.

I don't even use FB so I have no reason to take my pic in the 1st place.

If I feel like taking a picture I do...but I certainly am not all that obsessed with it. For a long time it was pretty much because I didn't have anyone to take a picture of me and this was before I had a cell phone or internet didn't have those things in my teens. But I had a digital camera so I figured out how to get a picture of myself. I also took and take pictures of other stuff and I don't put them all on the internet...I end up deleting a lot that turn out crappy. But yeah now I take them on my cell phone.

The last time I took a photo like this was two years ago because I wanted a facebook picture. But personally I don't understand this obsession. I don't really like being photographed.

Just as perplexing as the seeming obsession many have with constantly taking selfies....is the obsession many have with hating selfies, I swear if you listen to some people you'd think its a moral sin to take a selfie.

Yes too many are engrossed with being cool for doing it and for not doing it.

people who believe their worth depends on their appearance are those who will be forlorn when they lose their looks.
a simple wrinkle on their face can render them incapacitated for the rest of their lives. what a weak premise to found your being on.
