I've seen a few dud threads related to this before about one or the other, but I thought it might be a good idea to just have a thread dedicated to an explanation of why you've made your profile the way it is. This might be better suited as a sticky in the getting to know each other subforum actually, but I'll just leave it for here now, let me know mods if you care about the idea.

I'm quite proud of my username, before this one I've had a terrible streak of never being able to come up with a good name. It's inspired by an enchanted quill named the Feyfolken from the elder scrolls series. I didn't know what the book was about actually at first, I just thought the name always sounded cool. Here's a link to the wiki article on it http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Feyfolken. My username is also inspired by JRR Tolkien, the author of the Middle Earth Legendarium as many of you probably already know. So I basically smashed the two words Feyfolken and Tolkien together.

My Avatar at the moment is Wander from Shadow of the Colossus. I like the game a lot, has a really good soundtrack, and that's about all their is to it.

My location is currently the first Dark Fortress of the Dark Lord Melkor in the First Age or it just says Alone on the Road, I'm not quite sure which one can actually be seen right now. Alone on the Road is because the book The Road by Cormac McCarthy, which I really like as well.

Being an Aspie doesn't make me less of an earthling, I chose my username to express that.

The avatar shows how I imagine I must seem through an NT's eyes.

I just wanted to give myself a boring username that had nothing to do with me. I initially thought of using jkl but then thought jk1 looked more like a username.

My avatar is the main character of my favorite TV show from my childhood. I may use a picture of grapefruits in the future.

Cockroach, because peers consider me a pest.

My late brother was a Tolkien expert. I enjoy your avatar and username quite a bit. :D

I am a sociologist in grad school. My last username that I locked myself out of was VAGraduateStudent. It would be more correct to say that I am a critical autism scholar, but the word "critical" sounds grumpy when you take it outside of the sociological meaning. So I settled for a broader name that reflected my general field.

I am using a picture of my face as I usually appear every day (in a nerd t-shirt, ponytail) because I didn't think people would trust me if I looked fake or if they couldn't see what I actually looked like. When people go to my survey link and take my survey they're trusting me to represent their words, maybe to the whole world. I take that very seriously. So I didn't want to play around with my username or avatar.

Username: I picked this because I am an Aspie theatre major, one of the few I believe. The number at the end is a combination of the year of my car (19'86') and the year I was born (19'93'). I have not yet used this username anywhere else. It is a Wrong Planet exclusive! :)

Avatar: I change my avatar after every 100 posts. Right now it is Skids from Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen.

I made a four-word anagram of my real name, then used two of these words as my username. On a couple of other forums, I'm 'Summer Deep', which is the title of a song on the album T Rex (1970). I actually think that's a better name than the one I use on WP.

Avatar: When I first signed up to WP, I'd just acquired my first PC, and had no idea how to upload pictures to image-hosting sites, then down to this website. I looked at the 'off the shelf' range of avatars which were then available (no longer, it seems), but none appealed. Then I noticed that I had MS Paint on my computer, and started messing around with it to produce my own avatar. The first two I used were very garishly coloured abstract art, which were probably a bit of an assault on the senses of many people here, then I noticed that a good few people had pleasing astronomically themed avatars, so I drew a simple one of these.

It's just one of many names I come up with while naming my characters in my favorite MMO game. I made about 30 characters there.
It comes from Kira. DeathNote was anime I watched around the time so Kira was the first thing I come up when I wondered about a base for new character name.

I had a strong suspicion your name was based on Kira

My user name is my real name de-Anglicized ( G. Le Bel )

My avatar is a wheelbarrow full of apples because I was raised on an apple farm, I prune apple trees, and I love apples.
