For me, that picture looked extremely disturbing wanting to burn that picture.

There's nothing more natural if you think about it.
I would like to have a sky burial.
Or be planted under a tree.

Those vultures don't look too pleased. Like they showed up late after the rest of the flock already had at it.

Mmmmmm - problems with the word normal. If I was your age now I'd be looking at stuff like this. Spent quite a bit of my time as a teenager looking at medical books in reference libraries.

It depends on what your definition is of "like".

I'm not obsessing over it and its not in a sexual way either. I just like the way it looks. The architechture of the human body in the hands of wildness.

Well,!'m seeing the remains if what used to be a human and wondering what horrible death they had to endure before being subjected to being eaten by ravenous meat-eating birds. Was the person still alive trying to fight them off? And if so, just how long did the torture continue before they eventually succumbed to their demise?

It reminds me of the pictures on youtube that people watched of the beheadings. A person watches that kind of "entertainment" and they will get numb to what horrifying event is actually taking place.

i can see enjoying the photo from a science point of view, but my visceral reaction was disgust and horror.

Its how he was buried, its called a sky burial.

I don't see a problem then if its their custom and the actual person had agreed with it. I also saw where they had a problem with ground for grave digging. My thing would be that if its a sacred practice then don't be taking pictures of what happened to the person and also make sure they take care of what is left behind after its over. To me, taking pictures for public use is not respecting the dead.

The photo is a beautiful representation of our place in nature and shows just how little nature will care about us after we are gone. It puts humans in their place with all the other life. This is not just another gory, shock-value image, like you'd find around the web. This has a profound message. I like it too.

I don't know how I'd do it, but I'd like my final resting place to be the top of a mountain as a naturally preserved mummy. More likely as a pile of bones buried under a stone cairn though.
