So, what is the stupidest thing you done with fire? I guess mine would be spitting out some 180 proof alcohol and lighting it up.

Oh boy... I have to think for a minute here. I was quite the pyro back in the day...

Right... I once set a 10 dollar bill on fire in the middle of a crowd.

I actually never really done anything stupid with fire which is kind of ironic considering my 1sst girlfriend was kind of a pyromaniac; her SN was pyrogirl. The worst thing she did that she had told me about was setting some stuff on fire on a road at night with a couple other people. The cops went to her house the next day

I set my sock on fire once, while I was still wearing it. I was bored and was just burning off the excess fluff on my sock and it just went up. I'd do it again.

Once, I had the urge to drop in a handful of golf balls into the fire. They jumped and wizzed like a 4th of July firework. The only problem here was the fact there were steaks on the grill. RIP  I was chased for a block by my mother, but I my little league training trumped the catch.

LOL Is this an Asperger thing too?

When I was around 5 years old, I set a roll of toilet paper on fire in my bedroom. LOL My Mom was horrified and quite pissed.

Burn ants?

At least that's the most evil thing I've done with fire.

i used to experiment with amalgams.
i wondered when i was a child what the result of blending things would be.

i had thousands of ideas.

like for example i wondered what an amalgam of molten glass stirred thoroughly into a mixture of molten lead may yield when cooled, or what an amalgam of molten aluminium blended with powdered chalk may become when cooled. i had a million ideas and i tried many of them before i made a serious mistake.

one day, i was trying to melt some iron with the propane blow torch (my fathers) so i could mix it with powdered charcoal and let it harden, but i could not get the iron to melt because the propane torch was not hot enough. i stupidly got the oxyacetylene torch (i knew how to use it from observation) and i was experimenting (using the concrete garage floor as my base) to see whether the oxy torch could melt the iron, and all of a sudden, the concrete under the small cube of iron i was blasting exploded and shot shrapnel everywhere. thankfully no shards of concrete hit my face or body, but if i had not been so lucky i would have been severely injured or even worse.

from that point on i was much more careful with my experiments. i was 8 years old then.

Oh ho ho...where to begin... Well the most dangerous thing I ever did was make a flame thrower out of a petrol/plastic mix, two empty mountain dew bottles(that were full prior to the conception of this idea) adhesive bonding putty, some pvc piping and a set of butterfly valves and a bike pump. That thing was amazing! Incinerated a plastic garden gnome before I realised I forgot a heat sink at the muzzle and the thing caught fire. Oh, there was about half a reel of duct tape on it too.

Number two. Not a crazy build but dangerous non the less, spent an hour drawing patterns on the ground in lighter fluid, rigged a match shooter (not heard of one, cool little build to flick and light matches). That one was just for fun. Good fun.

Finally, set my head on fire. Well...my hat, that was a nasty run in with a leaky storm lantern and an open flame. Drippy fire.

This was about when I was 14-15 and is among the top 3 reasons I was banned from metal shop. Oh, speaking of school experiences, I just remembered the day I heated a full pot of paraffin wax on a bunsen burner. Happy days.

I haven't.

Fire
firearms
explosives
fast machines
et cetera

Should be treated with respect and used with safety. Doesn't mean you can't experiment, it just means you should do the theory first and figure out as many outcomes as possible; mitigating all potential threats to the lives of others.

I agree completely, fire is dangerous and interesting and I guarantee you that I have always treated it with the utmost respect.

I can remember helping clean up a rundown property when I was somewhere in my mid teens and having a fire going to burn waste and deciding to start a second fire several feet away to burn some other stuff. I was pouring gasoline on the second pile and the fumes ignited all the way up to the gasoline can spout. I never claimed to be the brightest bulb.

Without a doubt the stupidest thing I've done with a lit match is to light a (badly) capped gas pipe, which did light, then I blew it out again. There had been a smell of gas in the kitchen for days. I could easily have blown up the entire building. Couldn't even tell you why I did that. I mean i did it to locate the gas leak but in the stupidest way possible. Thankfully nothing happened, we called the gas board and it was all sorted out. Phew.

Where to begin...

Almost started a forest fire on multiple occasions
Threw a gas can in to a fire (about half full). I've also done that with aerosol cans and lighters of various sizes.
Lit my shorts on fire trying to get rid of some loose strings (last night >_<)

That's a few. I love fire.
