Okay, so here's the thing. I'm actually able to go to two proms! One is for my school ($90) and one is through my church for if you're homeschooled ($30). Since I'm homeschooled at school after school, I get to do both if I want! Anyway, I finally got a gorgeous dress tonight. Plus it comes with a sash! This picture does not do it justice!

What do you think? I will post a picture of me in it as soon as I get it altered. My mom's even going to take me to get a make-over, a manicure, and to get my hair hilighted! She's never let me do anything fun to my hair before! I can't wait! :D Yeah, I'm such a girly-girl! lol

That's a nice dress.

Thanks! I got it at a store called Abigail's. Oh, here's a funny story with it. While I was trying it on, another girl saw it and really wanted it. Her mom said it would still be there tomorrow and they left. Too bad we bought it tonight! lol I'm sure that girl will find another dress.

Oh my goodness! That is a DREAM dress!! ! It's absolutely beautiful and girly girl! It looks like a princess dress. I love the fact that it's not a pale pink. I think this brighter pink shade will be flattering to any coloring. How fun that you get to have your hair highlighted for your special day. I'm one of the few Aspies who love fashion, makeup, hair, etc. :D I can't wait to see your pictures. I showed my three-year-old daughter the dress, and she can't wait to see the pictures either. LOL! She already likes you, because of your Charlie & Lola Avatar.

Thanks! It's pretty much the exact dress I've had in mind since freshman year! I cannot wait to get my hair done! When I was little, I had really light blonde hair and Mom's going to try and get me that hair color again at a spa. She's never enjoyed this sort of stuff before (she's more of a sports type), but she decided that she wants to get her hair done, too, so it works. Also, what girl couldn't live without fashion? It's my life! Actually, I was even voted best dressed in the twelfth grade! lol Glad to know I have a fan! Who doesn't like Charlie and Lola? :)

Thanks! I think you should go to the prom! I probably won't find a date at this point in time, so I'll probably end up going with a group of friends like I did with homecoming. You should do that, too!

It's like the school disco, except you usually need a date.

How boring. If we had that here, I'd never get a date.

A prom is something that is held when you're either seventeen and eighteen at your school or another location. Basically you find a date (or go with a group of friends), dance, eat food, talk, and just hang out. But unlike regular school dances, proms are something that you must get really dressed up for. Girls wear really nice dresses and boys were tuxedos. Sometimes people will spend thousands of dollars on their look while others won't even spend over $200. (I'll probably end up somewhere around $1,000.) But basically, it's a night you look forward to all your life and it's something you'll never forget.

Whether you don't forget it for good or bad reasons is left for question.

I get irritated at the fact that guys are limited to tuxedos. I'll just go in my normal clothes except make them LOOK posh. 8)

Not to me! I suppose it's more of an NT thing, but I know of some other aspies at school who can't wait to go either.
