I'm sure there's quite a few here.

I'm not one of them, though.

I'm vegetarian. I was vegan for years, then went back to eating white meats (chicken, fish, pork) when one of my interest crazes was food / cooking related, but ended up going back to being vegetarian not long after. Only ate red meats for a short time when I was a child, but have been some mix of vegetarianism ever since.
I find so called lacto-ovo vegetarianism the best middle ground. You can still maintain a vegetarian lifestyle while still being able to eat out and so on, and not be a total nightmare for omnivorous relatives or friends.

I'm learning. I was brought up that lunch and dinner *had* to have meat; really, it was the centerpiece of a meal and all else was garnish. I've eliminated it from lunch and maybe every other dinner and I feel much better. I just wish I knew more about *how* to be a vegetarian! And please don't say, "stop eating meat, silly", because it's a matter of relearning how to prepare food and retrain my tastes.

Good luck keeping trying at it! Don't give up if you ate meat once or twice in the process it does get easier!

Cool at age 12/13 you are more conscious about what you are eating.

I like vegetarian food even though I'm not one.

One of my favourite things to do is brush some broccoli, asparagus, sliced zucchini and eggplant with olive oil, then grill them in my cast iron grill pan.

The oil stops the veg from sticking to the pan. When it's finished you have lovely browned lines all down the side.

vegetarian since I was 12 :)

isn't that funny how we became vegetarian at an early age like that?

been vegan for a while, but decided that I like an ethical egg every once in a while.
My kithcen/cooking style is still very vegan though, it is so creative :)

Since I started on my weight loss diet, I have moved gradually towards a more vegetarian diet. However, since I currently don't eat bread, rice, pasta and potatoes either, getting the required daily nutrients without taking supplements can be tricky.

Now that I've grown a taste for tofu, I might even discontinue using chicken breast and low-fat cheese as my primary sources of protein.

I doubt I'll give up on eggs, though. Too tasty, too satiating...

So I guess I could end up being an ovo-vegetarian, or an "Eggetarian"... Damn labels...

Agreed, and in fact, the "stop eating meat" attitude can be really bad for you. Like every diet, you have to balance things. Most people I knew who said they couldn't be vegan we doing it all wrong, not getting enough B12, iodine, iron and protein, mainly, from vegetable foods that they used to get from meats. They started feeling like crap and gave up, without ever having experienced what it's like to be vegan correctly.
Not so much with vegetarianism, but you still have to watch your iron and so on, especially if you're prone to anaemia. Once you get the shift down it's easy, though. I don't even have to consciously think about making something vegetarian, it just is. That and lots of recipes that use chicken or pork can be really easily substituted with tofu (which is not gross if, again, it is prepared properly).
You'll get the hang of it. :) Just research some gorgeous vegetarian recipes and explore some of the alternative products. I recently used vegetarian "bacon" in a potato salad and my omnivorous family didn't even realise.

Tofu isn't good to eat on a regular basis. Tempeh is better but awful-tasting. Soy products are endocrine disruptors and should only be eaten in moderation.
