I've had several instances of getting badly dehydrated and having to get re-hydrated through IVs.

AFAIC, IVs are about as much fun as somebody else's flatulence in your space suit. :alien:

I had one when I had a CAT scan with dye & I had one when I had surgery on my nose because the inside has been crooked my whole life & was contributing to slnus problems & minor sleep apnea.

I've been in the hospital for a lot of different things. Small medical procedures, and also the emergency room. They love to put people who are in the emergency room on IVs.

Maybe three times just this past year? Yes, at least three that I can think of.

The only time I ever got myself in a hospital is for 2 weeks because of dengue. :x It was about 5 months ago, and it was my first time in my life time.

Yes. A lot of times. It is painful and not fun, but when you're recovering from surgery it's needed to keep you hydrated until you can keep down food. Fortunately, it was always fairly minor surgery and I'd only need to stay overnight if at all.

The dengue fever thing has now got me worried. I guess I won't go out at all this summer. :(

if they can send a man to the GD moon, they oughta be able to come up with something better than an IV in terms of painfully poking holes in people.
