Hazel seems like a catch all for all eye colors not brown and blue really, means different things to different people. I've always said I had hazel eyes but they look way different so I would probably say light brown but others would say hazel or maybe amber. I would say this color is probably is closer to literal definition while the other eye colors are just called that for the lack of a better word.

Light brown. I would not call this hazel. I have hazel eyes. I've always understood hazel to mean a combination of green, brown, and gold.
