I would like to start acting in local plays in my area, but I have no experience before with acting in any plays. What is my first step?

Don't tell me I can't do it, I'm sure anybody no matter what struggles or disabilities can learn how to act.

Of course you can do it. I've been in 19 plays. I would find out what's required for an audition; you usually have to give a monologue from a script, and then they might do some cold readings to see which part you'd be best for. Go to your community theater's website and see what people who audition do, then just show up to the next audition.

Go to any open audition and ask to read. Civic theatre is a good place to start.
