I got a bit teary eyed earlier because I was thinking back to 1997 when I watched an episode of the flintstones at my grandmothers house. My grandmother died in summer of 1997 of breast cancer.

Is it normal for that to make me feel sad :(

Yeah, I think it's normal to feel sad when stuff reminds you of people you love who have died, especially if it reminds you of the time right around when they died.
