Do a lot of people forget how tall a 'real' 6ft5 is because often 6ft3 guys claim it?

Maybe they are measuring themselves with their shoes on or they are rounding

6'3", 6'5" both pretty dang tall

a lot of people give themselves an extra inch or two in height, at least guys do

my brother tries to say he's 5'8" even then I'm 5'7" and am several inches taller than him. I asked him what he thought my height was and he said like almost 6' which gave me a chuckle.

Notice how no one ever takes a few inches off? Why is it taller seems to be inherently thought of as "better" by most people? What's the psychology behind that?

That's true. I'm 6 feet 3 inches tall (exact, no inches added), and I barely fit in my car. The only way I fit is because my car has a sunroof, which forms this recessed part in the ceiling for my head to fit in.

Best theory I've heard is it's the classic primate "staring down" male posturing. Taller = bigger, stronger, healthier (due to better nutrition/lack of parasites) and so on.

Interestingly, I have known tall women to reduce their stated height in order to appear more "feminine" or demure - the polar opposite of an alpha male.

6ft3 is tall buts it's not freak of nature tall is it?

I know someone who is 6ft4 1/4 and really skinny. Up close he looks towering/giraffe like and quite freakish in height.

Here's us back on the gender soapbox. Funny enough I have known tall women who wear these ridiculously high shoes they can't walk in, and when I ask why on earth they'd bother as they're already taller than average, they say they enjoy having "power over other women" by dominating them with their height.
I guess supermodels are tall.
