Target's talking about adding small unisex bathrooms in its stores that don't already have one for transgender people to use. Small one person unisex bathrooms are more dangerous. Someone can push someone in there and attack them, and because it's a one person bathroom, no one will come in, see it, and try to stop them.

They already have such washrooms here for handicap people in some places and there is no epidemic of people being assaulted in such places anymore than anywhere else. Sounds like an irrational fear especially since Target probably has cameras all over the store. Criminals don't like to be seen on camera. So whether they assaulted the person in such a washroom or killed them, they would be on camera when they exited and left.

If people minded their own business there wouldn't be a need for another bathroom. Besides as far as safety is considered if your entering the bathroom in todays world with anything other then AK-47 then you are doing it wrong. Jokes aside, I would not care if there someone who could be a women in the bathroom with me, for all I know it could be a medical condition, I am not going to judge. Why does this thought upset people?

How do you lure someone into a toilet?
I mean, there's no way I would enter a toilet that's already occupied.
With a single cubicle I think you would be safer because people need to wait outside where you're more visible.
Honestly, I've heard of more assaults and murders happening in large public toilets.

Yeah exactly. When I'm in the restroom I just want to do my business and leave, the biological gender of the other people in there with me is irrelevant. I'm not worried about other people's business.

Just make sure you lock the damn door! (in bathrooms with one toilet).

I shop at Target about once a year.
Our Target has never had a bathroom, so I'm fairly safe :P

Where I live, you just walk across the road into the bush and pee.

Personally, if I really have to "go," I don't look at who else is in the bathroom.

If there is more than one toilet in a bathroom, though, I believe in this toilet being a private domain, with no ability for anybody else to "look into" the stall.

Why would anybody want to look at somebody else doing #1? I just don't see the charm in it.
