I have a special need trust my mom set up for me before she died. Is there a way to keep my special trust a secret from the SSI? The money I'm getting won't last me the rest of my life. Do anyone know someone that can help me?

This is something you should talk to an SSI lawyer about.

They are usually called "disability lawyers."

My dad had put some money in an investment account at the bank for me to have for down the road if I wanted to go to college or whatever after I graduated high-school. I couldn't get approved for SSI because my name was on the account & they counted it as a resource. I couldn't get my name taken off the account because of the way it was set up but my dad could get his name off if he would of wanted to. We had to close the account & then I wrote my parents checks to pay em back for various expenses they paid for me sense I graduated high-school. I was able to get approved for SSI after.

Cash is always untraceable, can you pull all the money out at one time? You don't have to be in possession of the cash legally or even know where it is. Have any extremely trusted family members? You get the idea. You might want to ask a lawyer about a CD too, I don't know all about those and it might be a bit more legit but legally it would be hard to trace cash back to you that isn't even in your possession.

Good Idea. It's also good to have a story for SSA incase they ask what happened to the money.
