It's November and the holidays are coming up, which is stressful enough on its own, seasonal depression and illness begin to run rampant, but then they have to have an election to top it all off. No wonder so many people kill themselves. :(

Well I guess I shouldn't worry because I know Jesus will arrive on his birthday and save us. :D
Yeah right.

They didn't want it to interfere with crop harvesting.

It's also held around the anniversary of the assassination of John F Kennedy. That's not a very good time for you guys in the states to have to vote. Why can't your voting day be around The 4th of July?

 Cause America, and how she feels about change. Half the people want it, and the other hate it on principle. (slight exaggeration)

I never really liked November, too cold and dull and grey. Hardly anything happens in November, at least not in the UK because we don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here.

Why interfere with the fourth of July? And summer is vacation season.

Its fine when it is. Doesnt interfere with any official holiday. And its near the time of the unofficial holiday of Halloween which is appropriate (the two most scary days of the year are close together).
