Nope, but I think it's pretty cool.

An old coworker of mine is a major shareholder in a local bee farm. His business partner does the work. They have a bunch of mobile hives they rent out to farmers to pollinate their crops.

Home bee keeping is something I hope spreads to a lot more backyards. Bees are endangered. We depend on bees. We need to help them.

I haven't looked into it at all. What are the approximate startup costs to get your own hive going?

From what I've found $500ish then bees and supplies.
I'd use a Nucleus Hive and those are gotten from local beekeepers so i dont know how much it cost

... at the same time lol

A teacher from my elementary school did it though, one day his bee hive was broken and the bees escaped. I still remember the cloud of bees flying through the school yard hahahah!
