I've only put up a few, but one feels like it needs deleting, to make my list of my posts 'tidy' so to speak. Is it possible or am I stuck with it?

Only if there is an "X" button next to the edit and quote buttons. If that is missing, it's too late to delete.

You might could get a mod to delete if there's no X there but they only delete a couple & really only do it if there's personal information in it.
