How often do you look back on the person you once were to see how far you've come along?

Occasionally. My problem with it is I'm afraid the progress train is going to run out of steam and this is as far as I'm gonna get.

Not usually because I usually look back with embarassment at the times I thought I was the hot poo but was actually a fool.

A lot. It wasn't all that long ago when I was really messed up for quite a while. I'm not proud of all the things I did, but I don't want to forget, either. When you try to forget your past mistakes you're bound to repeat them. Corny-sounding but true.
