Not exactly what you asked for, but here goes:

Some youth died in a car accident, I think it was, some months ago. The headline read:

"To døde ungdommer døde"

("Two dead youths died")

Obviously the news itself wasn't fun, but what a headline!

Did I just step into a zombie dimension?!

Well the other day I saw a greeting card that shows a cartoon pig about to light one of his farts while a couple of other farm animals eagerly watch, and there's a caption underneath about what *really* caused the Great Chicago Fire.

Of course that happened a long time ago, so the humor's not as dark now as it would have been back then.

I think Titanic might qualify as a sad news story that is now a joke. How many jokes haven't there been about 'unsinkable' ships and icebergs?

All the problems with the Dreamliner planes have also lead to it being called Nightmare.
