I'm considering purchasing Walmart gift cards because there's a much bigger selection of everything online.

I dislike shopping at WalMart… I try to avoid them. If giving a gift card, I will buy groceries and look forward to Publix. They do seem to have good prices on electronics; but I heard its usually last years tech.

Asda is our version of Walmart (literally, they're owned by the Walton family and stock most of the same stuff). There's a lot on offer I can't get at Sainsburys or the Co-op and sometimes some great deals. They also stock Umbro sports and leisurewear which is my favourite brand. I'm wearing my Medways with velcro fastening right now. You can stick your £100 Jordans up your yoohoo :)

I'm looking at trash cans at Walmart, trash cans can get fancy with batteries or a plug in.

They do have some good deals but the moral cost of why they do is too high for me.

My father is a manager for Kroger Walmart's competition and the treatment between the two places is night and day because Kroger has a union and Walmart does not.

I also worked for Pepsi stocking some Walmarts and other stores. Pepsi has its own people do that and I was paid twice as good as the Walmart employee for doing it with full benefits. But I saw the day to day life of the Walmart employee who gets nothing but the bare minnium required by law.

Each Walton is worth billions yet they tell full time employees to take goverment aid to make up for the bad pay. It's just unacceptable to me. Paying employees is an expense of business and I would rather pay more for a product and know the people who give me that product can eat well.

Not to hijack the OP's thread with this rant sorry. :(
