when people say that bisexuality isn't real, is it just as bad as when people say that being gay is a choice?

As a comment I think it would be equal to saying being gay is a choice. Being bi is as real as being straight or gay.
I don't personally care much about people's misconceptions (as Raleigh says, it doesn't change my reality), but I'm sure there are other people who would find it invalidating.
