Wow, I wish the sun would come up, or at least pretend to try. It's 6am and black ... erm ... with the snow falling, the sky is sorta steely gray. But it's the howling wind. I seem to have left a window open a crack somewhere and I can't find it. Oh, morning, come, be not slow!

It's hard to imagine snow and and howling winds when it's 38 degrees and melting the paint from the walls on my side of the rock.

The sun will rise in its appointed time.
It always does.
Peace and the goddess be with you.

I was born and raised around Hamilton, lived in Victoria, and am now another big jump north, where the daylight gets down to 7.5 hours. It does, however, recover at a rapid rate, and I love watching the shadows change. Getting more sunshine here than on the wet coast is very nice. Very odd weather this year, though. Snow for harvest time, bike riding in November, and two thaws in January. Then I froze my butt off on Tuesday.
