I have a laundry question, can heat from the dryer kill gem? Do anyone else have trouble with laundry?

What is gem :?:

My girlfriend has trouble with laundry but that's because we have to go to a laundromat & she has anxiety issues about being out around people & she has pain due to fibromyalgia

It will kill most things like fleas/mites and such but not bacteria. But that's why you use detergent.

You have to actually clean the inside drum of your washing machine btw, I just throw a dish washer tablet in it for like an hour on its own, on a hot wash then wipe it after with an anti-bacterial wipe.
