You could also include etiquette, that was pretty much mandatory, back-in-the-day, and other things.....

Carbon Copies (Carbon paper, as well as the copies it produced.)

Cashier's check for enough to purchase a new car or 20% down payment on a house.

I don't know if they're "material" per say, but lot of old and/or obscure cartoons from the 1930's-50's are lost on today's generation. One time I watched Popeye vs. Sinbad on YouTube, which I saw on video and was one of my favorite Popeye cartoons as a kid, and people were comparing Popeye to Luffy or whatever that anime pirate guy's name is. Are you kidding me?!

Thanks to Toonpedia, I'm able to learn about cartoon characters that are both famous and not so famous. :)

HA! I remember that smell! There was actually something quite "nice" about it----it signified that it was NEW----that you were the FIRST one, to get that paper. I actually, kind-of, miss it, to-this-day----the other day, I, seemingly, habitually, smelled a paper, and wondered why it didn't smell (which was silly, cuz I KNOW why it didn't LOL).

Gibbs Dentifrice Tooth Powder from the 70s, then someone discovered it removed the enamel from users' teeth.

TV antennas----either on the roof, or on the set, itself (i.e. "rabbit ears", that would only "bring-in" Ed Sullivan if your sister was standing on her head, and your brother was holding her foot, and the antenna, at-the-same-time, and facing north! LOL).

Movie Projectors (school, or the theatre) - where the film would sometimes break, and you'd have to wait for the projectionist to splice it back together.

The Radio Shack TRS-80 used cassette tapes for storage.
The DEC PDP-11 used 8 inch floppy drives.

Wind up clocks!

TVs that to change channel or volume, you had to walk over to the TV and turn knob.

Black and white TVs. I remember when color TVs came out.
