Just why in the world do people cry at weddings? Are they sad that the person is getting married?

Because they understand what that person that is getting married is going through while being on stage in front of all those people signing their life away to another person and are so happy for them all the emotions come out and they start crying. It's usually emotional people who do this who have high empathy because they're very understanding of what other people are experiencing.

Some people cry when see something they see something they perceive as being stunningly beautiful. I know this because I cry and get "choked up" when I see tiny, helpless, adorable baby animals, read a very touching card, or hear really beautiful music. But not weddings. Unless there's no cake. And those are a very different kind of tears.

Most other people do not know this. They really don't know what a softie I really am.

I think most cry because they're soo happy for the couple but I felt like crying at them when I was single & lonely because the feeling of missing out made me realize how alone I was.
