My left hand just went red and really itchy. The itchiness has eased but the hand is still quite red with several red dots. I've read it is usually an allergic reaction but I've not touched anything different that might have caused it. I wonder whether stress could do something like that?

I've gotten a couple of bouts like that lately. I figured it was a seasonal thing with everything starting to bloom.

There is skin condition like that called "neurodermatitis" that can be stress induced.

Just looked up neurodermatitis and what I had on my hand, which has gone away, is not that.

On a separate point I do have a scaly patch on my chest but it is not itchy. I am wondering whether it is psoriasis.

According to Wegene: psoriasis

You could try an antihistamine incase you notice it happening again.

I get hives and rashes all the time. My face flushes red, my skin peels, I am itchy head to toe, my throat and nose is often swollen. I have a lot of allergic symptoms and take Reactine 20mg and Hydroxyzine 25mg everyday to try and deal with the symptoms. As in keeping with the pattern of western medicine, no doctor has ever provided me with a reason as to why this happens.

You know what I have started getting (it really scared me at first)? My uvula swells up now at certain times. That's the little punching bag in the back of your throat. I thought it would swell and cut off my breathing, but it didn't. However, I couldn't talk or swallow very well. I took some benadryl and it went away after a couple hours. Now it still happens periodically. I'm thinking it's because of Waldo. I'm really allergic to him - especially after huggie/smoochie time.

You could try the med Singulair/Montelukast. It's a preventive med for asthma & allergies. I take it for allergies. You have to take it regularly & be on it a while before it starts fully helping. It's a prescription only med thou.
