1. Does your cat ever watch TV?
When I was a kid Flo sat watching Tom & Jerry with me, but I don't think she knew what it was. Maybe she was just loooking in that direction.

2. Does your cat notice reflections in mirrors much?
Whenever I hold Flo up to the mirror, she takes no notice.

Back when it was me and my dad and our cats living in Ontario...

1. My cat used to start at the TV with rapt attention if something moving was on it. He seemed to particularly like nature shows. But he also liked to watch the hockey game. Anything that had small objects moving across the screen.

2. He would ignore reflections, even his own.

My cat Sam would follow my mouse pointer around on my computer but grew bored of it and proceed to chew the wires up on my keyboard and headphones.

Usually she doesn't pay attention to tv once she watched a hockey game and sometimes she watches Animal Planet.

All three of my cats watch TV. Pumpkin has actually sat on top of the screen and swatted at objects moving back and forth accross the screen.

I've only ever noticed Pumpkin pay attention to her reflection in the mirror - trying to touch her face with her paw.

Now, my dog Sadie did some pretty funny stuff the first time that she ever saw a mirror. She tried to look for the "other" dog by going behind the mirror and sniffing around until she realized that there was no "other" dog.

That could be submissive behaviour. The mirror test is a common animal behaviour test. If you put a red spot on her see if she can see it in the mirror and remove it. That would indicate that she recognises herself.

Trillian and Fenchurch watch TV sometimes, especially if an animal program is on. Snug takes no notice. Fenchurch is the only one who takes notice of mirrors.
