Quote:
Toxoplasma gondii is a common parasite found in the guts of cats

Quote:
Toxoplasma takes the evolutionarily sound course of being a "good" parasite, leaving the rats perfectly healthy. Or are they?

Quote:
In a series of experiments, they demonstrated that healthy rats will prudently avoid areas that have been doused with cat urine

Quote:
infected rats actually seek out the cat urine-marked areas again and again

Have our aspie brains been targeted by the cats with Toxoplasma? Some cat owners are pretty crazy the number of cats they support (TM1 supports more than he can count).

Moderators feel free to move this to the General Autism section if it needs to be :)

I won't move it, but suggest that it is a feline conspiracy. Look at this....

I ran a poll on this subject not too long ago.

I think you'll agree that the results were staggeringly ambiguous:

Sorry I missed your thread. I just got a massive bite by a cat breaking up a fight. A tooth made a deep puncture into my right index finger right through the nail. I already have a severed tendon in the same finger. Anyway I might have got a massive dose of Toxoplasma.

This is very interesting. I know I've been exposed to toxo because I had a blood test and I have antibodies.....
