Hetrochromia - i.e. mismatched eyes. I tend to be a bit of a deranged maniac about new obessions. That's bad enough in itself but it's linked to semi-old obession so it has the potential to start me off on a deranged maniac about that one. D***n you, wikipedia, you just had to mention autosomal dominance in your article. If I do a deranged maniac bit on my obessions, I implore you to douse me with cold water without hesitation.

But what's wrong with obsessions? I know what NTs think is wrong but that's because when they have an interest, they just skim the surface and then forget about it. But aspie interest and enthusiasm don't wane. We stick to an interest until it surrenders all its secrets, and then some.

What's wrong with that? We're not social butterflies but we're not intellectual butterflies either.

The word 'obsession' is negative and should be replaced by a word denoting profound interest - can't think of one right now.

So you go ahead with Hetrochromia and I'll go ahead with Zermelo-Fraenkel Axioms. And don't think I'll be bored with yours, aspies are curious about things (unlike NT's, who talk about themselves or money).

Do you tend to get obsessed with diseases and conditions? This is one area of my obsessions.. diseases, conditions, disease processes, medical research, etc., especially just like that: if I hear of something new, I'll research it endlessly until I know everything about it from A-Z.

In fact, that's how I first found out about aspergers. I read the name of it in a book, didn't know what it was, and couldn't read another word of the book until I stopped and researched it endlessly..

:D

I don't find that there's anything wrong with obsessions. I had a very strong one, last year that's faded away.

If my father had hazel eyes; my mother blue: what’s the chance of me having blue eyes like my mother?

‘cause I got blue and is that the most likely outcome?

(I'm sorry! :) )

I have a medical obsession, too. I have enjoyed reading medical-related books since I was in third grade.

To simplify it,

I = anything other than blue
i = blue

II x ii would = Ii, Ii, Ii or Ii

BUT you have blue eyes so:

Ii x ii = II, Ii, Ii or ii

So it's actually a 25% chance.

That is very unusual!

I suggest you don't think about it as much!

I sort of found it. A roleplay 1x1 partner has a character with mismatched eyes. I googled it. The hetrochromia came up and that's the story so far.
