i have more than once. when i was a dishwasher i was so clumsy that the "kitchen master" was charging me for every freaking dish i broke. i worked there about 3 months and it was terrible, so one day in the middle of doing the dishes when nobody was looking i hopped that joint, i have the reflexes of batman when i need to get out of somewhere, i think i got this from the schoolyard.

anyways i never even went back to get my paycheck for two weeks, i just let them keep it. the kitchen master probably used it to buy more dishes anyways.

another time i worked at the mall as a janitor and these people from saudi arabia were my bosses, with there silk tiger print shirts acting all hot. or trying to yeah after cleaning a bathroom every 5 f-ing minutes in a mall. thats when it hit me, "im outta here!"

I did once. I worked for the same company for four years, and they had some unethical policies and were in many cases breaking the law. I was a highly valued employee, so I had decided to take it upon myself to challenge some of the illegal activity. Within weeks several of my friends were fired. I gave my two-week notice (was planning on going to volunteer in orphanages for a year anyhow... didn't have anything to do with the job atmosphere).

Before my two weeks were up, my assistant supervisor called me into her office and accused me of doing something I had not done... which in fact she had done herself. I am normally a very shy and sweet person, not a hot-head, but this affront to the truth was too much for me. I told her what I thought of her dishonesty and manipulation, and the next morning I grabbed my stuff and left.

Actually, I also left my first job without notice as well. Sort of. I gave notice and tried to quit, but they kept scheduling me because "you are so good and we need you." It was like a bad boyfriend who can't let go. So finally I just didn't show up anymore.

I've never had a job, but I once volunteered for two days at a retirement home when I was ten. I had to read this book to a man and it was too hard for me, so he said to go get another book. I never came back from the library. I was really shy. The woman who was in charge of the volunteers said maybe I was too young and should come back when I was twelve.

I was always fired before I got the chance to quit.

One thing I have is a masochist perseverance when it comes to disgusting, degrading, manual labor.....(and a deep fear of poverty that comes from being homeless and hungry)Thats why I find it stupid to say that their are jobs that Americans wont do.
I did a lot of them and I did them pretty well....except I cant seem to smile, have a bad hair day everyday and evidently poor social skills.... 8O (who me?).

I was to drunk to come into a job once, but that wasn't bad considering I drank for 10 years.

Oh yeah. Since I will not do the dirty, refuse to hang with thugs, and will eat only so much horse hockey I have strolled a few times.

Hasta banana, boze!

Never walked off a job myself - tempting though it has often been.

Though I do remember a couple of years ago visiting my local Tescos and the chap in charge of the tannoy was having an awful time, in the end he announced to the whole store "This is a staff announcement. I quit." and presumably left. :D
