Hoping this can be a humorous thread about the small yet unimportant realities of everyday life. I'll start: you just finished about a good hour and a half of back-breaking snow shoveling. So, you take your car to a nearby store just to pick up milk and bread - you're only gone for about 15 minutes yet you live in a suburb and come back only to find your neighbor's car in the parking space you just shoveled out YET there's plenty of parking spaces all around. You ask "WHYYYYY?" Your neighbor has no clue as to why you hate his guts and tells the whole neighborhood that you're unfriendly. PUNCHA!! PUNCHA!! !

Someone had the nerve to tell me, that "you have a hard time dealing with reality"

Maybe it was easier for him to deal with "reality" because he was a skinny smart handsome (presumably neurotypical) cisgender white man.

And I do not have those job skills

Being a neurotypical cisgender white man does not take energy for him. While no matter how hard I try I will never be one

Skinny smart and handsome for him takes a little energy. Maybe no matter what I do I will never be skinny smart handsome

"Reality" is a good euphemism for racism sexism homophobia classism sizeism

"Reality" is like Global Area Functioning. If you are doing well, that is not necessarily to your credit

If someone is blind and deaf, they would have a much harder time dealing with "reality" than me. But it is not their fault that they are blind and deaf

Why can't I go shopping without some song from a store's 'muzak' that I hate bouncing round my head for the next few days?! :x

My reality check this morning:

It takes seven scoops to make a pot of coffee.

Not zero scoops. SEVEN. This is a very important step that should not be skipped.

Unless that's a micro scoop or an extra large pot that sounds like some strong brew...

I'm of the opinion the stronger the better...I'd still try it.

The party with the moral high road does not always win

For example, Brock Turner got convicted of rape and three months in jail

Other defendants got convicted of rape and twenty years in jail

Racism, classism, superficiality

:D

Even in a formal official government system of court, there is no justice

:D

Some children die before age 18. Disease, crime, poverty

Some defendants wrongfully convicted

Some defendants get away with murder

Maybe the purpose of  discrimination laws  are to make life fair

But "life" can never be fair

Some children are born to poor families. Some children get raped. Some children get cancer

The purpose of "discrimination" laws are to claim that "x" is a "y" for the purpose of "z"

That says nothing about any other purpose.

Laws are different, with location and time

That does not mean "x" is literally a "y"

"Life" goes on

In some years and some locations, sometimes it appears that, the solar system contains way more homophobic precious lil "people", than lesbian gay bisexuals transgender people

"Life" goes on, until it stops

Even though sometimes "life " seems so theatrical and dramatic that it feels like "life" is over

Perception is not always "reality"

Different people perceive the same thing in different ways

"Reality" is not always the only way it could be, or the morally high way, or the only way it will ever be

Precious lil "people" subconsciously and consciously, judge others based on appearance

"If you can't beat them, join them"

One word:
Needs.

If that's not enough, then:
Wants.

If some people wants to be specific:
Lack or excess of either or both. And, it's just is.

Either way; to me it's just boils down to:
Wants and Needs.
And I don't have to color it in an optimistic nor cynical way around it. :skull:

OMG!! One time I was driven so utterly nuts by this, I ended up screaming at the top of my lungs in the restroom, "Make it stop!" When I came out, it was turned down real low. There's probably some sort of diagnosis for this.

Did you make it once with zero scoops an then poured yourself a cup of hot water? Just throw a teabag in.
