if you overheat it and it blows up, it could very well go on the ceiling. ;)
seriously, Sealing wax is a wax material of a seal which, after melting, hardens quickly (to paper, parchment, ribbons and wire, and other material) forming a bond that is difficult to separate without noticeable tampering.

I used to LOVE sealing my envelopes with sealing wax, and I had a few of the metal stamps to imprint/personalize the seal, while the wax was still warm. One was my first initial / C, and I had a peace sign and a heart, as well. Can we still get that wax? I am inspired...

looking back from techietimes, there is something magical, cosmically ritualistic, about physically writing [in cursive script, no less] an actual letter with proper grammar, on smooth perfumed creamy linen paper, then folding it artfully and stuffing it into an envelope, decorating the envelope with further decorative cursive script, then sealing it and stamping the seal, etc. :jester:

Indeed! Minus the perfume, though. But, yes, what you've said - I loved to write letters and decorate my envelopes, and still do...

I wondered about that comment when I first read it and wondered if any discussion would just be based on the wax itself i.e. a special interest just in the wax used

Yes, and I have had the same Calligraphy set, since I was 13 y/o. Although, I rarely utilize it. Architectural lettering is the style I write in, for the most part...
