This is something I have meant to write about here for a while. I am writing this - it has nothing to do with the major matter that i have just found out about to-day (My brother's death  ).
I sometimes see writers writing about:
" In this cyber-obsessed world, where we're all staring at our screens hours and hours a day, we sometimes to reconnect with the analog world out there, blah blah blah ". Such as, for intance, recently, some piece I read about some, I'm just swinging at the details here, I don't have it here...this $250-a-day?? resort where you are supposed to be disconnected from your tech, write on a typewriter, draw with pens or whatever...it's such elegant simplicity ! !! !! !! !! !!
Well, the thing is, that is not an option with me,
I just wish I could OD on screen time like that! As I have outlined details of before, I have to scable around for minimal computer/'Net time (and with my EXTREMELY MINIMAL 'Net skills), there re SO MANY things I don't have time to do...........

...Aside from me not having that much access (or skills) (or " stuff ", computer/tech-wise), my being HL for such a long time - Maybe they're other reasons, perhaps. Maybe. - Really has be " not part of " the ' real " - um, okay, " Western civilization "/well-off West, okay!...For instance...........I essentially never watch TV. Unless I am in the hospital or something else comparable like that (not very) cheap motel I was in for 6 days recently. I am so completely out of touch with that world now ~ An exception here - when I see a TV listing, I'll look at the Saturday night TV lists for, here in SF~(1) The local PBS station that night, which often runs classic-age Hollywood movies then (2) An area station, KOFY, which runs an old-style horror-movie " host " show late Saturday nights, into Sunday A.M. I am, in a sense, thinking there in terms of the 1980s, even the 1970s.
When I was first HL in SF, I'd look through the Sunday paper's TV magazine to see - mostly movies, especially on AMC I believe - were on the next week, what I might watch if I could, sometimes I'd have a cheap motel/SRO for a while.
I've sort of " gone feral " now :| . He says 8O .

...I've seen a comment here in a post when someone was trying to set up a story, " I put the TV on pause "...So you can pause a modern-style TV in the middle of a program you are receiving? I wouldn't know that! I've never had or I guess even touched a modern- day TV. That goes even for the digital TVs that became the norm in 2009, IIRC. I've never operated any!
I have only barely ever had, briefly, any:DVD players, and only super-low-end highly portable ones. I don't have any means to play recorded music, I have no record, tape, or CD players, this phone gets Pandora and YT, anyway. No portable radio. If people listen to recorded music nowadays on a " stick " or a " download machine " I don't know about it :( . I don't really know how to download, even on this phone.
The point of this is not any one particular " I don't have "...It is, rather, the whole bleedin' thing, the damn total of it all!

...I hear about Netflix or Spotify...and I don't even know how they work!! !! !! !! !! ! :(
This is NOT about " Oh, I have to have them" ~ not al all ~ but being SO out of touch (and knowing it :( ) like someone out of prison after a long time, or one of those WWII island Japanese soldiers :( .
