Not really but my girlfriend is afraid of them going off because of sound sensitivities. We also been alittle afraid because we live in a townhouse apartment & there's been a couple of fires not rite next door but along our chain. The 1st was cuz a roommate left a candle on near the window & it caught the curtains. The neighbors on both sides of us set the alarm off fairly often. I think sometimes it's cuz someone is smoking.

Not afraid of alarms but they bug my ears. I have to plug my ears whenever an ambulence goes by.

Only when they make a noise :P

But really. I do jump at loud noises, and it can trigger an anxiety attack if I was already in a bad mood. If I wasn't, I'll come down again pretty easily, even if the sound is still on.

When they go off suddenly, yes.

When they go off, I'm always startled so badly I'm shaking for half an hour or more afterward.
