Have you had drinks that exploded in the freezer before?

I've at times put drinks in the freezer to get them cold faster and then forgot I had them in there and they wound up making a big mess in there.

I freeze stuff in glass bottles in the freezer all the time.
I've never had one explode, as long as you don't fill them right to the top and leave the lid loose until it's frozen.
If you're putting drinks in there to cool, you should always set a timer to remind yourself to take them out again.

Twice IIRC. Not literally exploded but fizzed out of the can through pressure.

I used to put sodas in the freezer so they'd get cooler than in the fridge but I forgot them more than afew times so I don't really do that anymore unless it's not cool & I want to drink it in like an hour or it's beer. I sometimes put beer in so it'd be cooler than the fridge & I never had beer explode but I don't drink that often.

Freezer, no. Veranda, yes.

We keep soda pop on the veranda in winter (until it's too cold). We aren't always quick enough to take the soda in when the temperature is low enough for it to freeze. Some years ago a bottle of Pepsi Max was completely frozen and although it was almost empty, it still managed to explode with a vengeance. It went off with a loud bang, and most of the bottle ricocheted against window and walls, leaving frozen Pepsi Max here and there. The bottom of the bottle was frozen to the floor where it had been standing. We couldn't get it off until it thawed.

Yes Ive forgotten about cans of bear that got frozen and blew open the can. My dad once left an ice cream container in the cupboard and it melted everywhere.

When I was a kid I would sometimes put juice or pop in the freezer to make them into something like popsicles, but my mom said using glasses would make them break. I had to use paper cups instead.

My dad will occasionally put a bottle of beer in the freezer to get it cold faster, and has been known to forget about it sometimes. I believe there's been a time or two that did not end well, although I don't remember it happening when I've been around.
