hey im like totally new, i heard about this site from a friend and was hoping to be shown around plus meet some new people

You can see how the site is subdivided into subforums by topic.

One piece of advise: don't confuse "adult autism issues" with "in depth adult life issues".

The first is "adult" as in "adult movie" (its the place where you can talk about naughty stuff like sex, and booze, and drugs). The other is "adult" as in "mature" ( grown up folks issues). Folks are always posting in one when they meant to post in the other.

Other than that its all rather self explanatory.

Folks use abbreviations for certain commonly discussed things. "DX" means "diagnosis", "LFA" means "low functioning autism/autistic", "HFA" means "high functioning autism/autistic", and there are many others you have to get used to (cant think of any other off of the top of my head at the moment but there are others).

Welcome to Wrong Planet. In the 'getting to know you' section you will find other people who have just joined as well. It's kind of like starting in the little pond because WP is quite a big forum (it feels big to me ).

Come in, make yourself at home. This is the living room. You can hang your coat in the closet behind the blue door. The kitchen is downstairs. Down another flight of stairs on your right is the private guest room. The bathroom is on the left. There's a problem with the toilet and sometimes it gets stopped up and overflows. We hope to call a plumber in here soon to take a look at it.
