I was invited to two B'Day parties. One is for a 100 year old and the other for a 90 year old. I looked at a lot of cards and I don't like the sentiments in them - very condescending. I bought 2 blank cards and I don't know what in the world to write in them. Can anybody help? I'm sure these two individuals are tired of hearing how ancient yet fortunate they are. I'm sure they already know that. I'm lost. 8O

I tend to write a message from the heart.
Say how marvellous they are and why I am thankful for their friendship or time.
I stay away from age as you do and tend to think about how they brighten my day.

It depends on how close the relationship is and how long you have known them.
A nice poem can go down well.
