Someone talked about a cooking forum that a good idea, people can exchange recipes & stuff. Do people like potato salad? Do people here drink chocolate milk? Is there a healthier chocolate milk?

Nice idea, and I like both of them. In the way I make it. What is normally added to a potato salad?

For hot chocolate I use unsweetened cocoa powder, like one used for baking, and then add sugar or honey. My grandparents taught me that, and I suppose it's a bit healthier than ready mixtures. A word of advice or disagreement?

I agree with you. That does sound much healthier not to mention tastier.

I don't have a great chocolate milk recipe, however I do have a great hot chocolate/cocoa recipe I came across recently.

especially if there is any family history of kidney stones, be careful about drinking too much strong tea, without drinking lots of water in between.

I love potato salad, there always potato salad at my family gathering at 4th of July. But potato salad made with HFCS  I don’t know if every potato salad made that way. Do people here think unsweetened chocolate milk is better than those drinks with alot of sugar, I don’t like too much sugar?

HFCS and table sugar are both bad. try stevia for sweetening stuff, including unsweetened chocolate.

I like taking canned coconut milk, the thick and rich kind, which is not the same as the thin watery kind that comes in cartons- and mixing it with sugar-free chocolate, and stevia with a bit of sugar-free grape or strawberry essence.

Is Stevia better & healthier? I been using Stevia for many years, I think I need a new box, I think my expired. Is Stevia in the Raw better? I heard you shouldn’t have more than two packages, cuz it bad or make you hungry.

I use enough stevia to where I don't have to worry about it getting old. stevia is all-natural which means it doesn't have the suspicious chemicals that Splenda and Ace-K and NutraSweet have. that is a plus for some people. but I've never run into problems with those other sweeteners anyways, they are all healthier than sugar. and Stevia in the Raw is about as good as any other stevia.

HFCS has been proven to acidify the body chemistry which means the liver will generate more cholesterol to fix the damage [lesions in blood vessels] which can end up causing hardening of the arteries which raises blood pressure which worsens the vessel damage causing more cholesterol etc. in a vicious circle. so AVOID anything with HFCS in it! HFCS is just as bad as sugar. you can make your own potato salad that only has good stuff in it.
