From what I've read of your posts, I'm willing to bet that whatever it was, it was eminently sensible and, if an opinion, well supported by facts. These days that can be remarkably incendiary, especially in certain venues.

It could be worse, you could have been on Reddit...

I have violated a social hierarchy which exists in the western world in which there are fixed ideas of certain hardships being greater than others and it is taboo to compare a "lesser" hardship to a "greater" hardship or for the person with the "lesser" hardship to complain about it.

But this hierarchy is a construct and the truth is that experience is sufficiently subjective that one's feelings on the hardships one experiences is never invalid.

The only thing that might be invalid is the person's understanding of how the hardship they do not have that they are using as a comparison would affect them.

I've essentially said that my life would be easier if I had A instead of B where most people consider A to be worse than B, however in my case, A and B are nearly identical.
