Would you rather wade through a field of chest high grass, a cold chest deep river, or calf deep mud?

i'd take my chances with the grass but to avoid deer ticks i'd be wearing a space suit.

Unfortunately, in this scenario, the only clothes you have with you are those on your back. For the sake of argument, let’s pretend space suits don’t exist.

i'd go through the grass wearing something that is not a space suit but functions a lot like one in terms of isolating me from the dangers.

How muddy is the mud, and can I bring my Wellingtons?

My Wellingtons pretty much reaches my knees. And that was rather the point of asking how muddy the mud is; can I wade through it, or am I just going to get stuck in my boots?

How to torture an aspie:
Give them only basic information and ask them to make a choice.

Grass. I'd welcome it so I can try for a shiny pokemon.

From one Aspie to another, that is correct. Nah, I’m totally kidding. But I guess I should have said in the OP that you can’t bring any outside tools at your disposal to help you and Wellingtons would be one such tool.

Did all of the above... in the summer off course. Enjoyed every part.
Chest deep cold river had an issue - the current was so strong it swept me. I managed to go ashore some 50 m lower but next time we crossed it I decided to hold to my bigger and stronger collegues. So I could see my legs flowing on the current when they were literally hauling me.
Otherwise, getting dirty in the nature is quite my idea of fun.
